The Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLASC-SVB), together with 8 SLASC, conducted a donation programme on 18 April 2026 at the 8 SLASC premises.
During the programme, a new pair of crutches was donated to Private R.K. Wasantha, while roofing sheets were provided to Lance Corporal M.G.S.I. Sampath to repair his house, which had been damaged by the ‘Ditwa’ cyclone.
In addition, 21 civilian employees serving under the unit received white long-sleeve shirts and dry ration packs. Books were also donated to the Headquarters Company library of the unit.
Members of SLASC-SVB, Officers, Other Ranks and civilian employees attended the event.
