‘Sigithi Pola’ Programmes Held at Viru Kekulu Pre-Schools Islandwide

Under the guidance of Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), a series of ‘Sigithi Pola’ programmes were conducted at Viru Kekulu Pre-Schools located at Ipalogama, Minneriya, Manning Town, Galle, Anuradhapura, Pallekele, Diyatalawa and Panagoda from 19 to 31 March 2026, aimed at promoting practical, experiential learning among pre-school children.

During the events, children participated in simulated marketplace activities, taking on the roles of buyers and sellers. Various items, including fruits, vegetables, toys, crafts, and educational materials, were displayed for exchange. The programme enabled children to gain basic knowledge of financial transactions, money handling and decision making in an engaging and interactive learning environment.
