The Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW-SVB) constructed a new house and vested it in Mrs. Thilakawathi Manike, mother of a fallen war hero of 6 GW, on 09 April 2026 at Lihiniwehera, Dodangaslanda, Kurunegala.
The house was officially declared open by Mrs. Shihani Abeywardhana, Chairperson of GW-SVB, together with Major General A.M.A. Abeywardhana WWV RWP RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding of the 58 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment of GW.
Moreover, the family was gifted essential kitchen appliances to support their transition into their new home. This project was generously funded by the GW-SVB with the workforce assistance of 4 GW.
Senior Officers, Officers, members of GW-SVB and Other Ranks participated in the event.
