The Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLASC-SVB) distributed essential gift packs to 39 expectant wives of Other Rank soldiers serving under SLASC on 15 March 2026 at the Regimental Centre of SLASC. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Mrs Ajantha de Silva, Chairperson of SLASC-SVB.
During the event, breakfast and lunch were also provided for them and their family members.
In order to further enhance the knowledge of the expectant mothers, an informative lecture was delivered by Dr Romani Fernando, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Senior Lecturer at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.
Members of SLASC-SVB, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, their spouses, participated in the event.
