The Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (CR-SVB) conducted a donation programme for its personnel and civilian staff members having children under one year of age at the Maroons Legacy Hall, Commando Regiment, Ganemulla on 02 March 2026, under the guidance of Mrs. Samindi Wickramaratne, Chairperson of CR-SVB.
The ceremony was graced by Major General K.H.M.S. Wickramaratne RSP, Master General Ordnance of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment of the Commando Regiment.
During the programme, imported paediatric nutrition products and sanitary items essential for infants were distributed among 45 Non-commissioned Officers and one civil staff member. The distributed items were donated by the Melbourne agent of the TRICO Group of Companies, Mr Yasantha Dias and Sri Lankan citizens living in Australia.
Members of CR-SVB, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
