The Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (CR-SVB) organised a special market to provide goods at concessionary prices for members of the Commando Regiment on 01 March 2026 at the Maroon’s Legacy Hall, under the patronage of Mrs Samindi Wickramaratne, Chairperson of the CR-SVB.
Through this initiative, a variety of imported goods, including clothing, sanitary items, laundry items and food items were sold at significantly reduced prices compared to prevailing market rates. The main objective of the programme was to raise funds to support welfare activities for Commando Regiment members affected by the Cyclone Dithwah situation in Sri Lanka.
Major General K.H.M.S. Wickramaratne RSP, Master General Ordnance and Colonel of the Commando Regiment, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and their family members participated in the event.
