The Sri Lanka National Guard Seva Vanitha Branch (SLNG-SVB) conducted a lecture on ‘Mental Health and Contented Family Life’ on 15 February 2026 at the Regimental Centre of SLNG.
Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (East) and Colonel of the Regiment of SLNG, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, together with Mrs. Kumarie Pallekumbura, Chairperson of SLNG-SVB.
The lecture was conducted by Major G.R. Hewanayake, Second-in-Command of 8 SLNG. The session focused on strengthening mental resilience, promoting mutual understanding among family members and sustaining a balanced and harmonious family life despite the demanding nature of military duties.
Families representing Officers and Other Ranks from all battalions of the Regiment participated in the programme.
