Viru Kekulu Pre-School, Manning Town Hosts Vibrant Annual Variety Show

The annual variety entertainment concert of Viru Kekulu Pre-School, Manning Town was successfully held on 27 December 2025 at the main auditorium of the Army Hospital, Colombo.The event was graced by Major General D.K.S.K. Dolage USP nps psc, the Chief of Staff of the Army, as the Chief Guest, together with Mrs. Lilanthi Dolage, Vice President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit and senior member-in-Charge of Viru Kekulu Pre-School, Manning Town.

Upon arrival, the distinguished guests were ceremonially escorted by a traditional dance performance and warmly welcomed by the pre-school children offering sheaves of betel leaves. The programme commenced with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp, followed by a two-minute silence in remembrance.

Thereafter, the pre-school anthem was played and the welcome address was delivered by a student.

The highlight of the event was the series of captivating performances presented by the children, which included graceful dance routines, engaging Sinhala and English dramas, and melodious songs, all of which delighted the audience and reflected the dedication of both teachers and students.The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a student, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
