Under the guidance of Mrs. Swendrini Dissanayake, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit, a dry rations distribution programme was conducted on 24 December 2025 for people affected by adverse weather condition that prevailed across the island.
Accordingly, with the contributions made by civil donors and the Regimental Seva Vanitha Branches, dry ration packs valued at approximately Rs. 5,000 each, along with additional essential items, sanitary items and clothing, amounting to an overall value of approximately Rs. 3 million, were donated to 575 displaced families in Ginigathhena, Nawalapitiya and Dolosbage areas.
Senior officers, officers and other ranks of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit participated in this programme.
