The Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAOC-SVB), in collaboration with the School of Ordnance, conducted an overnight Pirith Chanting Ceremony and Almsgiving programme on 19 and 20 December 2025 at the School of Ordnance.
The religious observance was conducted with the primary objective of invoking blessings upon the people of Sri Lanka affected by the Ditwa Cyclone, while also seeking continued blessings for serving officers, other ranks and civilian staff.
Major General W.M.S.N. Wijekoon ndc AATO, Quarter Master General and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Mrs. Shirani Nirmalin Wijekoon, Chairperson of the SLAOC-SVB, senior officers, officers, other ranks, civilian staff and members of the SLAOC-SVB participated in the event.
