The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) conducted a financial donation programme on 24 October 2025 at its office premises to support the construction of new houses, marking another phase of its ongoing welfare projects.
The event was graced by Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army as the Chief Guest, together with Mrs. Swendrini Dissanayake, President of the ASVU.
In line with the vision of the Commander of the Army and the President of ASVU, this new initiative aims to uplift the living standards of serving Army personnel and civilian staff by extending financial assistance to those facing economic hardship.
During the ceremony, the Army Chief presented three housing grants, each valued at Rs. 1,500,000.00 to Corporal W. B. Dharmapriya of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Corporal L. P. Pahalagedara of the Gajaba Regiment, and Civilian Worker H. P. Thilakarathna.
Senior Officers and Officers participated in the event.
