ASVU Commences Renovation Work at National Hospital for Respiratory Diseases in Welisara

As part of its ongoing welfare initiatives to enhance civilian well-being, the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) commenced renovation work at the National Hospital for Respiratory Diseases in Welisara on 25 October 2025.

The project, coordinated by Dr. Rasika Perera, President of the Ministry of Defence Seva Vanitha Unit, was initiated under the guidance of Mrs. Swendrini Dissanayake, President of the ASVU. The inaugural ceremony marked the beginning of renovation work on Ward No. 06 of the hospital.

During the occasion, President of the Ministry of Defence Seva Vanitha Unit and President of ASVU, extended their appreciation and best wishes to the personnel engaged in the renovation, commending their commitment to the welfare-driven cause.

Members of ASVU, Dr. Nirmala Yoganathan, Director of the National Hospital for Respiratory Diseases, hospital staff, Senior Officers and Officers participated in the event.
