Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLASC-SVB), in collaboration with the troops of 2 (V) Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, conducted a school items donation programme for the children of other ranks and civil employees of 2 (V) SLASC on 19 October 2025 at the 2 (V) SLASC premises in Katunayake.
The event was graced by Major General K.T.P. de Silva RSP ndu psc, Adjutant General of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the SLASC, as the Chief Guest, together with Mrs. Ajantha de Silva, Chairperson of the SLASC-SVB.
Students who excelled in the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in 2024 and the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination in 2025 benefited from the programme. During the event, school books and other stationery items were distributed among the students. In addition, uniform kits were presented to the civil employees serving in the unit.
Members of the SLASC-SVB, senior officers, officers, other ranks, civil employees and children participated in the event.
