A special programme was organised by the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI – SVB) on 19 September 2025 to recognise the academic achievements of children of serving and retired Officers, Other Ranks, and civil employees of the SLLI. Fifty students who successfully passed the 2023 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination were presented with school items and gift vouchers.
The initiative received additional support from Mr. Himeth Mendis and Mr. Disath Mendis. The event was graced by Major General Y.A.B.M. Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of the SLLI and Mrs. Darshani Yahampath, Chairperson of the SLLI – SVB.
