The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) organised a certificate awarding ceremony on 20 August 2025 for 32 students of the Viru Kekulu Preschool who excelled in the Elocution Examination, conducted in collaboration with the IWMS Institute.
Mrs Lilanthi Dolage, Vice President of ASVU and Senior Member in Charge of Viru Kekulu Preschool, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the oil lamp, followed by two minutes of silence in memory of fallen war heroes and the recital of the pre-school song. The programme included a welcome speech, performances by the Army Dancing Troupe, and the awarding of certificates.
By concluding the event, a student delivered the vote of thanks. The event concluded with a group photograph and a tea reception.
