The Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI-SVB) conducted a charity programme at the Atamasthana in Anuradhapura on 01 August 2025, honouring the unmarried SLLI war heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation's sovereignty, under the guidance of Mrs Darshanee Yahampath, the Chairperson of SLLI-SVB.
Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army and the Colonel of the Regiment of SLLI, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
An almsgiving was conducted at the Abayagiri Temple, with the participation of the parents and family members of the fallen war heroes. In addition, they engaged in a pilgrimage to the Atamasthana on 02 August 2025.
Members of the SLLI-SVB, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and the families of the fallen heroes took part in this meritorious tribute.
