GW-SVB Conducts an Essential Medical Equipment Donation Programme

The members of the Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch (GW-SVB) conducted an essential medical equipment donation programme for the cancer ward of the Teaching Hospital, Kurunegala on 03 August 2025, under the guidance of Dr (Mrs) Dilrukshi Wimalaratne, the Chairperson of GW-SVB.

As part of this initiative, the GW-SVB donated a patient trolley and a dressing trolley valued at Rs. 200,000.00, with the aim of improving the comfort and wellbeing of cancer patients.

Following the donation programme, a mind relaxing music session was conducted by the GW music band. In addition, gift packs were presented to the patients by the Chairperson and members of the GW-SVB.

Major General W.B.J.K Wimalaratne RWP RSP, the Director General Infantry and the Colonel of the Regiment of the GW, members of the GW-SVB, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
