Army Conducts Sixth Stage of Medical Camp for Veterans in Diyathalawa

Under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, the Directorate of Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, organised the sixth stage of a medical camp for disabled and retired personnel on 30 July 2025 at the Volunteer Force Training School, Diyathalawa. The initiative aimed to address the healthcare needs of Army veterans residing in the Uva Province.

The event catered to over 2,000 beneficiaries, including disabled and retired or medically boarded out personnel and family members of War Heroes currently facing medical challenges. During the programme, the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) organised an eye clinic parallel to the event. As part of this, the ASVU donated 350 spectacles and 20 wheelchairs. Moreover, the ASVU provided lunch for all participants.
