The Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI-SVB), under the guidance of Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army and the Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), and the supervision of Mrs. Darshanee Yahampath, Chairperson of SLLI-SVB, constructed a new house for a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the 6th Battalion of SLLI as the second phase of their housing project on 16 July 2025.
As part of this welfare initiative, the construction of the house was successfully completed with the financial sponsorship of SLLI-SVB and workforce assistance from the troops of the 19th SLLI.
During the housewarming ceremony, the Chairperson of SLLI-SVB handed over the key of the new house to the beneficiary. Members of SLLI-SVB, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
