According to a concept of Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, a medical camp was organised for nearly 2,000 retired and serving Army personnel and their family members as the fifth stage on 27 June 2025 at the Army Base Hospital, Kandy. The initiative aimed to address the healthcare needs of Army veterans residing in the Central Province.
The Commander of the Army, along with Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
As part of the event, the ASVU donated 20 wheelchairs, while the Rotary Club donated 02 wheelchairs. Furthermore, a mobile dental and eye clinic was also conducted with the coordination of the Sinha Club under the guidance of the ASVU President. Lunch was provided for all participants.
