A Spectacle Donation Programme was conducted on 18 June 2025 at Abimansala 3, Pangolla, with the sponsorship provided by the Rotary Club, Kandy.
Mrs Swendrini Dissanayake, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), graced the event as the Chief Guest. During the programme, spectacles were donated to 256 serving and retired Army personnel. In addition, 300 coconut plants were distributed and an electric wheelchair was donated for the use of resident war heroes at the centre.
To mark the occasion, the ASVU President presented a memento to the President of the Rotary Club. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and staff from Rotary Club, Kandy participated in the programme.
