The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), under the guidance of Mrs Swendrini Dissanayake, the President of the ASVU, conducted a donation programme on 09 June 2025 at the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya, Anuradhapura.
As part of the initiative, three children of war heroes who excelled in the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination 2024 in the Science and Arts streams were presented with laptops to support their higher education. Venerable Banthe K. Gunarathna sponsored the provision of these laptops. In addition, children of war heroes undergoing treatment at Abhimansala 1 were gifted essential school accessories.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and their family members participated in the event.
