In commemoration of the 16th National War Heroes Day, the Sri Lanka National Guard Seva Vanitha Branch (SLNG-SVB), under the guidance of Mrs. Sumangali Pathiravithana, Chairperson of SLNG-SVB, donated educational supplies to 75 novice monks engaged in religious and academic studies. The donation was followed by an alms-giving on 18 May 2025 at the Siri Sangharaja Pirivena in Kurunegala.
During the programme, blessings were invoked for the fallen War Heroes, the speedy recovery of disabled war veterans and the well-being of children of SLNG personnel currently battling cancer and other serious illnesses.
Members of SLNG-SVB, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
