The Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) conducted community welfare initiatives on 15 May 2025 at the Regimental Centre premises, under the guidance of Mrs Ayesha Liyanage, the Chairperson of the SLSC-SVB.
During the programme, readymade garments were distributed among daughters of SLSC personnel aged between 10 and 14 years, aiming to support the wellbeing of military families.
Additionally, 40 packets of milk powder were donated to a Non-Commissioned Officer of 2(V) SLSC, who is raising twin daughters, following the tragic loss of their mother during childbirth.
Meanwhile, on 09 May 2025, the SLSC-SVB extended financial assistance to a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) to purchase a surgical belt for his spouse, who had recently undergone surgery for a lumbar disc prolapse.
Additionally, on 14 May 2025, a financial grant of Rs. 10,000 was provided to a NCO of 4 SLSC residing in Horana, whose four-month old son is currently undergoing treatment for a severe lung condition.
Later the same day, a dry ration pack worth Rs. 10,000 was donated to support the family of a civilian employee of 11 SLSC residing in Meegoda, as his wife is suffering from a serious nerve disorder.
