Kids learning at the Viru Kekulu pre-school, Manning Town showcased their sports skills and aesthetic talents during the annual Sports Meet held at the preschool premises on 02 May 2025.
Mrs. Swendrini Dissanayake, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), graced the event as the Chief Guest, together with Mrs Surangi Amarapala, Secretary of the ASVU and the Senior Member in Charge of the Manning Town Viru Kekulu pre-school.
The Chief Guest was warmly welcomed by the children upon her arrival at the location, by offering a sheaf of betel leaves.
All the children joyfully took part in a variety of sports events and entertaining activities, including a band display, lollipop game, balancing game, obstacle game, fun game, moving cupcake, fun with cones, and many more.
The day’s proceedings were filled with excitement, and a separate drill and band display added colour to the programme. The Chief Guest presented prizes to the children who took part in the day’s events.
Senior Officers, senior ASVU members, Officers, preschool teachers, parents and children were present at the occasion.
