SLSC – SVB Continues Monthly Donation Initiative

As part of its ongoing monthly donation initiative, the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC – SVB) donated milk powder packets on 8 April 2025 to support the twin daughters of a SLSC soldier. The children, aged one year and four months, lost their mother, leaving the father solely responsible for their care and nutritional needs.

Meanwhile, SLSC – SVB also donated air mattresses to the parents of two soldiers serving in the SLSC on 11 and 12 April 2025.

One donation was made to the mother of a soldier who has been paralysed due to internal brain bleeding. On medical advice, she was recommended to use an air mattress. Recognising the family’s difficulties, the SLSC – SVB promptly provided the required support.

The second donation was extended to the father of another SLSC soldier, who has been bedridden following an accident. An air mattress was provided to improve his comfort and care.

The Commanding Officers of 10 SLSC and 6 SLSC personally visited the recipients at their respective residences in Benthota and Anuradhapura.
