Under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Apsara Peiris, the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch (SLEME-SVB), more than 1,000 hybrid capsicum plants were distributed among selected Army and civil personnel working at the 1st Battalion of SLEME, Panagoda on 26th February 2025.
The event was graced by Mrs. Chathurika Jayasundara, a senior member of SLEME-SVB as the Chief Guest and officially distributed the hybrid capsicum plants and organic fertilizers to the recipients as the first stage of plants distribution programme.
The day’s proceedings concluded with a lecture delivered by Mr. A.H Ranaweera, an lecturer on agriculture, providing valuable insights to the attendees.
Members of SLEME-SVB, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the event.
