The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) continues to extend its support to war heroes by providing a range of welfare programs aimed at enhancing their quality of life and ensuring their wellbeing.
In a recent move, the Army has significantly improved welfare facilities for its members, particularly in terms of accessibility to affordable food and beverages. Army cafeterias have been set up at various locations, making it easier for personnel to access snacks and refreshments at reasonable prices.
An inspection visit was conducted by the newly appointed President of the ASVU, Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo on 10th January 2025 and reviewed the prices at Army cafeterias across key locations, including the Army Headquarters, the Ministry of Defence, and Kinnadeniya. Upon taking office, the President took swift action to reduce the prices of snacks and beverages, making these services more affordable for the personnel.
