Electric Wheelchair Presented to Senior Officer at Ranaviru Sevana

A special programme was held at Ranaviru Sevana, Ragama on 22nd January 2025, to present an electric wheelchair to Major B.M.G.C.P Navaratne, a Senior Officer of the Sri Lanka Artillery.

The Senior Officer sustained severe injuries in an unexpected road accident while on duty, resulting in permanent disability in the lower part of his body. Currently receiving treatment at Ranaviru Sevana, the provision of the electric wheelchair is a significant step in enhancing his mobility and quality of life.

The event was graced by Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit, who attended the event as the Chief Guest. Brigadier W.D.M Kumarasinghe RSP, Commandant of Ranaviru Sevana, along with the Colonel (Coordination) of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit, Senior Officers, and other Officers took part in the programme.
