SLEME - SVB Conducts Annual Book Donation Programme

The Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch (SLEME-SVB) conducted its annual book donation programme on 20 December 2024 at the Regimental Headquarters, coinciding with SLEME's 75th Anniversary.

Mrs. Apsara Peiris, Chairperson of the SLEME-SVB, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. During the programme, books valued at Rs. 43 lakhs were donated to over 3,240 school children of Army personnel serving in SLEME. Additionally, 28 children symbolically received book parcels along with Rs. 2,000 cash vouchers.

Furthermore, 33 outstanding students who excelled in the 2023 Grade 5 Scholarship and Advanced Level examinations were awarded scholarships.

Senior members of the SLEME-SVB, Officers, Other Ranks, and civil staff participated in the event.
