The Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (VIR-SVB) held its monthly meeting on 30 November 2024 at the ‘The Salute’ Multifunctional Hall in Boyagane, Kurunegala, under the guidance of Mrs. Damayanthi Bandaranayake, Chairperson of VIR-SVB.
The meeting, organized under the patronage of Major General K.A.W.N.H Bandaranayake USP, General Officer Commanding of the 14 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment of the VIR, began with the Seva Vanitha song and a moment of silence to honor fallen war heroes.
Scholarships were awarded to 20 children who excelled in the 2021-2023 Ordinary Level exams, with 9As. The meeting concluded with a counseling lecture titled ‘Happy Family,’ conducted by Lieutenant Colonel L. Gunathilake. Members of VIR-SVB, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and children participated in the event.
