The Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock Seva Vanitha Branch (SLACAL-SVB), in collaboration with the 2(V) SLACAL, held a school accessories and book donation programme on 26 October 2024 at the 2(V) SLACAL auditorium in Karandeniya. The event recognised the academic achievements of SLACAL personnel’s children in the Grade 5 Scholarship and G.C.E. O/L exams.
Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge, Chairperson of SLACAL-SVB, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Five students who excelled in the 2023 Grade 5 Scholarship and two students who achieved 9 As in the G.C.E. O/L exam received gift parcels valued at Rs. 18,000 each, including a DSI gift voucher. Additionally, Master Chandupa Edirisinha and Master Shasmitha Pathiraja donated books for the future RHQ SLACAL library.
