Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), visited Mihindu Seth Medura in Aththidiya on 05 November 2024.
Upon her arrival, the ASVU President was welcomed by an inmate, who presented her with a sheaf of betel leaves.
During the visit, the ASVU President donated two electric wheelchairs to two inmates to support their mobility needs. Additionally, 30 dry ration packs were distributed among the assistants working at the centre.
The ASVU President engaged with the inmates, inquiring about their needs and the wellbeing of their families. She praised the creative talents of the War Heroes, acknowledging their skill in handicrafts. A group photograph was then taken to commemorate the occasion.
