Under the guidance of Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Seva Vanitha Branch (SLACAL-SVB) and Major General S.A. Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, Commander Security Forces (East) and Colonel Commandant of SLACAL, a house was constructed for a soldier in need from 2 (V) SLACAL. The house was vested in the benificiary on 22 October 2024, in Kuliyapitiya.
Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), graced the housewarming ceremony as the chief guest.
During the ceremony, gift packs and essential wall paint were donated to the beneficiary.
This event marked a historical milestone, as it was the first house built by the SLACAL.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, beneficiary, and his family members participated in the programme.
