Coinciding with Children’s Day 2024, the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Seva Vanitha Branch (SLACAL-SVB) organised a stationery and book donation programme for 30 deserving school children of Other Ranks on 19 October 2024.
Under the guidance of Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge, Chairperson of SLACAL-SVB, each child received gift packs containing essential stationery supplies for an entire school year, along with a DSI gift voucher worth Rs. 5,000 and a colourful umbrella. During the programme, each family was also provided with dry ration packs. Moreover, participants were offered breakfast and lunch.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the event.
