President, ASVU Interacts with War Heroes at Pangolla

Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), visited 'Abimansala - 3' at Pangolla on 11 October 2024, in line with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.

Upon arrival, the ASVU President was welcomed by an inmate who presented her with a sheaf of betel leaves.

During her visit, special gift parcels were distributed, along with essential cleaning items for the maintenance of the swimming pool used for hydrotherapy sessions. In a reciprocal gesture, the Commandant of 'Abimansala - 3' expressed gratitude to the President by presenting her with a token of appreciation.

The ASVU President then engaged with the inmates, inquiring about their needs and the wellbeing of their families. A group photograph was taken to commemorate the occasion.

Acknowledging the creative talents of the War Heroes, the President praised their handicrafts.

In addition, Mrs. Janaki Liyanage also inspected the paper recycling project managed by ASVU on the premises.
