Renovated 'Waggoners' Holiday Bungalow Re-Opened in Tisaveva

Under the supervision of Commanding Officer of 3 Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC), the troops of the 3 SLASC renovated the 'Waggoners' Holiday Bungalow at Tisaveva. The re-opening ceremony took place on 28 September 2024.

Major General A.K. Rajapakse RSP, the Master General Ordnance and Colonel Commandant of SLASC together with Mrs. Chandi Rajapakse, Chairperson of the SLASC Seva Vanitha Branch (SLASC-SVB), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

During the event, the Dag Hammarskjold Medal was awarded posthumously to the family of Corporal M.G.L. Deshapriya, who passed away during a United Nations peacekeeping mission in Mali. The Chairperson of the SLASC-SVB also presented dry ration packs and school supplies to his spouse and child.
