Newly Appointed VIR - SVB Chairperson Assumes Duties

Mrs. Damayanthi Bandaranayake, the new Chairperson of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (VIR-SVB), officially assumed her duties during a brief ceremony held at the VIR-SVB office in Regimental Headquarters on 18 September 2024.

The Chairperson signed an official document to mark her acceptance of the new appointment amidst religious observances.

During the ceremony, a donation of school equipment and DSI vouchers worth Rs. 45,000 were provided to four children of the late Lance Corporal R.A.J. Ekanayake, a soldier of the VIR.
