Under the guidance of Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, the Quarter Master General and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), and supervision of Mrs. Vajira Perera, the chairperson of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI-SVB), the second phase of the housing project was held on 07 September 2024.
During the event, financial assistance amounting to 200,000/- with labour support from various battalions were provided to six War Heroes of the SLLI. In conjunction with this housing project, a battery for a three-wheeled motorcycle was donated to a War Hero who had been completely disabled during operations, ensuring he can maintain a level of mobility.
