New Housing Project for SLLI War Heroes

A new housing project for Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) War Heroes was initiated under the direction of Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Quarter Master General and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) with the supervision of Mrs. Vajira Perera, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI-SVB) on 07 July 2024.

Marking the inauguration of the first phase of the project, the newly constructed house for S/320316 Sgt R.P.T.D.S Rajapaksha was inaugurated by the Commanding Officer of the 6th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry together with Senior Member of SLLI –SUB on 22 August 2024.

Through this initiative, 11 War Heroes received financial assistance from the SLLI-SVB, along with manpower assistance from their respective Battalions to complete their partly-built houses.

Officers and Other Ranks of the 6th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry attended the ceremony.
