ASVU Distributes Dry Ration Packs and Supports War Heroes

The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) distributed 100 dry ration packs to resident War Heroes and staff at Abimansala I, II, III, and Mihidu Seth Madura Wellness Centre on 28 July 2024. The event, held at Mihidu Seth Madura Wellness Centre, aimed to alleviate the economic burden faced by the families of War Heroes.

Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President of the ASVU, attended as the chief guest and distributed the relief packs. Following the distribution, the President along with senior members of ASVU offered refreshments to the War Heroes. To enhance their mental well-being, a musical entertainment programme was conducted by the Army Calypso Band.

Additionally, the President donated essential cleaning items for the maintenance of the hydrotherapy swimming pool at Abimansala III, Pangolla.

Before departing, the President and the ASVU members posed for a group photograph with the resident War Heroes.
