Coinciding with 75th Army Day, Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch (SLA-SVB) organised a Blood Donation Programme in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service on 25 July 2024 at the 4 Field Regiment SLA, under the guidance of Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, the Chairperson of SLA-SVB.
More than 100 Army troops donated blood during this programme. The medical officers and staff of the National Blood Transfusion Service, Narahenpita, contributed immensely to making this programme a success.
Major General B.K.G.M.L Rodrigo RSP psc IG, the Commander, Security Forces (Central) and the Colonel Commandant of SLA, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended the programme.
