A school equipment and book distribution programme took place on 19 July 2024, conducted by the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock – Seva Vanitha Branch (SLACAL - SVB).
The event was organised under the guidance of Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge, Chairperson of SLACAL – SVB. This event provided essential school supplies for a whole year to 300 children from six schools.
The event was sponsored by Dr. S. Rajapaksha, Mr. Jaliya Bodinnagoda, Mr. V. Perera, and Mr. H. de Silva from the Rotary Club of Capital City and Regent Teas (Pvt) Ltd.
The Commander of Security Forces (East) and the Colonel Commandant of SLACAL, Major General S.A. Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Senior officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the programme.
