The monthly meeting of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) was held on 19 July 2024 at the Army Headquarters premises with the participation of Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President of Army Seva Vanitha Unit, Regimental Seva Vanitha Chairpersons, Executive Board Members and Senior Members.

Subsequently, the minutes of the previous meeting were read by Lieutenant N.W.W.V.S Kavindya, the Executive Secretary of ASVU, and the audit report was presented by Major P.G.P.C Kumari, the Treasurer of ASVU.
To show support for the ASVU's affairs, the organization made donations to 04 Soldiers of Sri Lanka Signal Corps in worth of Rs 600,000.00 as a donation to construct their houses and Rs. 450,000.00 worth donations to 05 soldiers whose houses are under construction by the President of ASVU.
Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC -SVB) made financial donation worth 1,000,000.00/= to a civilian employee from SLSC and 450,000.00/= was allocated for a soldier to complete the construction of a partially built house.
In addition to housing support, the SLSC - SVB provided two medical aids, each valued at Rs. 75,000.00. One of these aids will assist a soldier in treating his son who suffers from a neuro failure condition, which affects his ability to speak and being able to walk. The other aid will support a soldier’s son in receiving necessary medical treatments for autism.
Furthermore, in line with the President's initiative to support families with three children, financial donations of 100,000.00/= each were given to three soldiers of SLSC.
To alleviate existing economic hardships, dry ration packs containing essential food items were distributed among 30 soldiers and civil servants of SLSC. Additionally, necessary school equipment was provided to the children of 20 soldiers and civil servants.
At the culmination of the monthly meeting, all participants had refreshment and president of ASVU had a cordial interaction with members.
