Under the guidance of the Quater Master General and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), Major General G.M.N. Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, and under the supervision of the Chairperson of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Vajira Perera, a donation programme was held on 06 July 2024 at the SLLI Regimental Center Lecture Hall.
During the programme, 11 War Heroes were given financial assistance amounting to 200,000/- each to complete their under-construction houses. The 95 group of the Old Boys’ Association, Ananada College sponsored this project. Additionally, in conjunction with this programme, a wheelchair and a set of bathroom accessories were donated to two disabled children of two soldiers.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and members of the 95 Group of Ananda College, Colombo, participated in the occasion.
