Donation Program and Facility Visits by ASVU in Diyathalawa

Under the guidance of Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), a series of events took place on 01 July 2024.

ASVU conducted a school accessories donation program benefiting 177 students of Allegama Maha Vidyalaya. The event was marked by vibrant performances showcasing the talents of the students. Major General B.K.G.M.L Rodrigo RSP psc IG, the Commander of Security Forces – Central (SF – Central) and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery, Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch, Senior Officers, Officers, teachers, students, and parents from Allegama Maha Vidyalaya took part in the event.

Following this, the President of ASVU visited the 'Viru Kekulu' pre-school and Day Care Center in Diyathalawa. This visit aimed to review educational and administrative matters, ensuring high standards of care and learning for students.

After the visit, the President of ASVU distributed 100 dry ration packs to selected civil personnel working at SF – Central at the Golf Club, Diyathalawa.

Later on, the President visited the "Shop of the Garrison" Multipurpose Shopping Complex in Diyathalawa and provided guidance on future plans, ensuring the continued effectiveness of the complex.
