Under the guidance of Dr. (Mrs.) Himali Niyangoda, the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAGSC-SVB), and the supervision of Major P.D.S.N. Gunarathna, Commanding Officer of 2(V) SLAGSC, troops launched a project to support 99 students of Homagama Dolahena Primary School on 19 June 2024.
The supplies included school bags, water bottles, stationery items, shoes, and socks. Additionally, the children enjoyed various activities, followed by a tea and a lunch treat.
At the conclusion of the event, the Chairperson of SLAGSC-SVB addressed the children and the staff, emphasizing the importance of taking full advantage of this initiative and maximizing the benefits of free education.
