The members of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) organized a ‘Sago Dansela’ at the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) premises, Kandy on 21 of June 2024 to mark the Poson Full Moon Poya Day with the participation of the chairperson of SLSC- SVB, Mrs. Ganga Herath.
Most Ven. Niyangoda Vijithasiri Thero, Deputy Chief Incumbent of the Malwathu Chapter declared open the dansela for public together with Ven. Seelarathana Thero from Bodhirukkharamaya, Buwelikada.
The dansela was organized with the aim to quenching the thirst of devotees coming from all over the island to worship the sacred Tooth Relic.
The distinguish members of SLSC- SVB, all Signal Corps units and other establishments extended the required ingredients for the dansela and Training School of Signal Regiment assisted for the successful preparation for the dansela.
Major General I.H.M.R.K Herath USP ndc psc, the Chief Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Signal, Senior Officers, Officers of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps along with Other Ranks also participated in the programme.
