ASVU Hosts Father's Day Event and Entertainment for Elderly Residents

Coinciding with World Father's Day, under the guidance of Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, the President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) along with ASVU members, offered lunch to residents at the Home for the Aged at Leslie Ranagala Mawatha, Borella, on 16 June 2024. They also celebrated the Father's Day event at the venue.

Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army, graced the event as the chief guest. To uplift the mental well-being of the elderly residents, the Army calypso band conducted an entertainment event. Towards the end of the programme, the President of ASVU distributed gift parcels containing medicine and other essentials to the elderly residents.

Senior members of the ASVU, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks joined the event.
