Series of Religious Events Conducted by SLAOC - SVB

A series of religious events were conducted by the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps – Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAOC – SVB) on 01 and 02 June 2024, with the aim of invoking blessings for War Heroes who sacrificed their lives to secure the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.

The first event, a Bodi Pooja ceremony, was held at the Somawathie Raja Maha Viharaya. Additionally, a Belimal Dansala was held at the same location. On 02 June 2024, an alms-giving for 10 Buddhist monks was conducted. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and civil staff of the 3 SLAOC provided their full cooperation to ensure the success of the program.

The events were conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Iresha Fernando, Chairperson of SLAOC – SVB, and supervised by Major General E.M.M. Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, the Logistics Commander, Security Forces – Jaffna, and Colonel Commandant of SLAOC - SVB.
